UC Psychology Professor Selected as NIMHD Scholar!

Dr. Vanessa Volpe has been selected as a 2017 National Institute for Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) Health Disparities Research Institute Scholar.

This competitive selection entails attendance at a week-long research institute this August at the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, Maryland and is intended to support early career researchers in the field of health disparities. There she will participate in lectures, seminars, interactive sessions, and small group discussions with leading scientists and NIH staff about the state of the field and receive valuable feedback and guidance on grant applications.

Dr. Volpe was also recently appointed as an Adjunct Fellow at Penn’s Center for Public Health Initiatives.
