Student Awarded UPE Scholarship
Ursinus student Serena Schaefer was awarded a scholarship of $1000 from Upsilon Pi Epsilon- the international honors society for the computing and information disciplines.
The UPE scholarships are awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students. Students are required to complete a comprehensive application and include a personal statement that highlights their long term professional plans and their contributions to UPE. Applicants must also submit a copy of their transcript and one faculty recommendation. Needless to say, the scholarships are a great honor. Hats off to Serena! The math and computer science department is very proud!!
