Each month, for one hour, HEP faculty and students get together and discuss a recent research article.
The HEP Journal Club officially kicked off on January 24, 2018. Each month, for one hour, faculty and students will gather and discuss a recent research article. This is designed to keep everyone aware of the pulse of research in society and in the department. The January meeting discussion focused on the new blood pressure guidelines that were released in Fall 2017. The comparison on how these new guidelines are different than old ones was a highlight of the discussion, as well as additional questions of interest, including: How will they impact clinical practice? How will they affect clinicians and diagnoses and lifestyle modification recommendations? The next HEP Journal Club meeting will be 2/7/18, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, topic to be announced.
