Looking Back & Moving Forward
The Italian poet Cesare Pavese, an anti-fascist writer emerging during the World War I era, wrote “we do not remember days, we remember moments.” As the class of 2018 nears graduation, we ought to hold Pavese’s words close to us. The essence of Ursinus College is held within glimpses, much like those captured within the images in this exhibit. Each member of the Ursinus community has their own constructed reality comprised of moments, flashes and bits, & as the class of 2018 closes their final chapter, we look back in order to look forward. This exhibit is meant to reinforce that not only has our institution prepared us academically for adulthood, but the friends, memories and life lessons learned outside of the classroom are equally as valuable as we enter the next stage of our lives. The unique experience of being a student at Ursinus College will be something that we forever carry with us.
Congratulations to the class of 2018! May your memories always be cherished & your future divine.
