The Theater and Dance department congratulates faculty member Prof. Jeanine McCain, who has been promoted to Associate Professor and awarded tenure by the Ursinus Board of Directors.
Professor McCain joined the dance faculty in 2012. Her teaching and performance research investigate methods of creative process, improvisation, and interdisciplinary performance.
Most recently, Professor McCain presented Moving Portraits: A Sense of Place at the Invited Research Presentation and Experiential Workshop at the Imagine Festival, in Plainfield, MA. In addition, her research, Performing Personal Histories: Body, Landscape, and the Digital Image in Dance Performance was presented at the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities.
This spring, the dance film, Fragment of an Empty Dream (produced and performed by McCain) was selected for screening at the Dance and Film Festival, at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA.
The Theater & Dance Department is thrilled that Professor McCain will be continuing her academic and artistic ventures at Ursinus College.
