GOLDs Get Out and About

Check out all of UC’s upcoming events and opportunities to connect with fellow alumni!

The winter season always brings out some of Ursinus’s best traditions, and this year is no exception! There are events happening both in and around Collegeville in the next few months in which GOLDs can get involved. Check out some of the amazing things happening below:

Heefner Memorial Organ Recital:  Recognized as one of the country’s premier concert organists, Alan Morrison performs in prestigious concert venues throughout the world, and he enjoys a versatile career as organist, teacher, recording artist, adjudicator and pianist/chamber musician.  Catch Ursinus College’s organist of 20 years on January 27, 2019 at 4pm.  For more information, check the Department of Music’s website.

 Ursinus at Winterfest: The GOLD Council is hosting an alumni gathering at the BlueCross RiverRink on Friday, December 14 from 7-8:30 p.m. Come for ice skating, refreshments and connecting with fellow UC alumni! The BlueCross RiverRink is located at 101 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19106.

These Bears Don’t Hibernate Series: Reconnect alumni classmates at one of our GOLD Council events happening in Phoenixville, Philadelphia and Manhattan! Each event comes with a free drink ticket, appetizers and drink specials.

- Phoenixville will be on February 8 at Bistro on Bridge

- Philadelphia on February 22 (location to be announced)

- Manhattan on March 8 (location to be announced). Be on the lookout for more details!

Athletics: Want to catch up with UC Athletics? Some of the highlights for the next month are a basketball doubleheader on Thursday, January 10 at 6 p.m., when the men’s team will play John Hopkins and the women’s team takes on McDaniel, as well as a wrestling meet against McDaniel and Gettysburg on February 2. Holiday Lights: If you love to look at decorated houses, check out 15 Glen Farm Drive and 110 Ithan Lane, both in Collegeville, for two of the most festive homes in the local area.
