HEP Professors Participate in Childhood Obesity and Hunger Symposium

Health and Exercise Physiology Associate Professor, Dr. Deborah Feairheller and Assistant Professor, Dr. Catherine van deRuit, joined a large group of researchers, practitioners and faculty members attending a one-day interactive symposium, Convergence of Childhood Obesity and Hunger: Moving to Action, at West Chester University, on February 22, 2019.  The symposium focused on a number of issues relating to food access for children and families in schools and in their communities.  Various topics were covered, including how the various sectors of businesses, health care, and government intersect on these issues, as well as how the role of health professionals, health systems, and community can advocate towards a collective impact and action.
