Lex Lehr (’19) wins Composition Prize

Senior Music and Neuroscience double-major Lex Lehr has received the 2019 Robert Rifkin Prize for Outstanding Musical Composition.

The 2019 Robert Rifkin Prize for Best Original Music Composition has been awarded to senior Music and Neuroscience major Lex Lehr.

The juried annual award, which is open for submissions by anyone majoring in Music, was created in 2017 by the family of Ursinus alumnus, Andrew R. Rifkin (’74).

The winning piece, The Stages of Sleep, is an electronic instrumental that parallels with the different stages of sleep, with the climax describing the relief of a nightmare.
