Ursinus faculty, staff, and students participate in the Battle of Hogwarts!

In honor of International Harry Potter Day, the Library hosted a Harry Potter Escape Room on May 2 and 3.

Designed by Christine Iannicelli, Kara McShane, and Tiffini Eckenrod, participants were tasked with finding 6 objects called horcruxes in order to defeat Voldemort and save Hogwarts. To find the objects, participants had to perform spells using wands, interact with moving portraits, work with potions, and solve many other puzzles.

Twelve students, five faculty, five staff, and three community members participated in the escape rooms and all teams beat the game in under an hour. A special congratulations to Katie Hudick, Mitch Weber, Julia Stern, Amanda Rodriguez, and Kate Gibson for being the fastest group to win the game in under 28 minutes!

This is the third escape room the library has hosted this year. In the Fall, the library hosted an information literacy escape room and a Stranger Things escape room. Christine Iannicelli also helped design and host escape rooms for the U-Imagine Center and the Center for Writing and Speaking this semester.
