As students return from winter break, attention will quickly turn to seeking information about summer internships and full-time opportunities for after graduation. Alumni and parents are valued partners in helping our students explore and pursue these endeavors, and one great way to help is by representing your organization at the Job, Internship and Networking Fair. To be held on Wednesday February 19 2020, this event is attended by students from all class years and majors. We hope that you will consider if your organization, or those in your professional network, would benefit from the intellect, creativity, and drive that Ursinus students are uniquely able to contribute.
Jeff Kenton ’85, President of Acme-Hardesty, shares his perspective on this signature event through which he has been able to hire Ursinus students.
“As an alumnus of Ursinus College, I had an outstanding experience participating in the Ursinus Annual Job, Internship and Networking Fair. It was a great opportunity to meet with many bright, energized students who were actively seeking employment. The students were very interested to hear how my Ursinus experience translated into an exciting and rewarding career in the chemical field. At the same time, we were able to identify a number of students for potential employment at my company. The Job Fair is a very efficient way to connect with numerous students in a short time and the team at Ursinus always does a great job of accommodating employers and making us feel very welcome. I have participated in a number of career fairs in the USA and the Ursinus Job Fair is at the top of the list. I would highly encourage any alumni or parents of Ursinus students to participate. You will get to meet many qualified students and come away with a positive feeling about the future of Ursinus graduates.”
