Benefits of being a Sustainability Fellow: 1 credit course for each semester (spring and fall appointment) | $3,000 summer stipend | On campus housing for summer 2023 (From May 22nd to August 11th) | The average weekly time commitment for this Fellowship during the summer months (not during the semesters) is 20 hours per week | Professional skill development (including: opportunities to participate in conferences and workshops), presentation and communication skills building, team-building experience, leadership training, project development, project management and more!)

 

About the Sustainability Fellows Program: The Sustainability Fellows program is a leadership and experiential learning program supervised by the Office of Sustainability. Sustainability Fellows research, design, and/or implement outreach projects and communicate with the campus community about complex sustainability issues. This student mentoring program provides students with the opportunity to work on sustainability initiatives on campus within a professional setting. As stewards of the environment and within the community, the Sustainability Fellows develop communication and leadership skills. The Agroecology Fellow positions (Formerly called Farm Fellows) are expected to guide Campus Farm and Food Forest projects toward all goals for the calendar year of appointment. This position will allow for experiential learning in the sciences and the economies of food (and so much more!). The Agroecology Fellows will plan for and implement an entire growing season; the positions allows for a degree of freedom and creativity to be brought to bear on the program, but also demands working outdoors, and organizational and time management skills.
