Richter Prize in English and Music presented to Noel Long

Noel Long receives 2020 and 2021 Richter Prize in English and Music

The Music Department is pleased to name Noel Long (’21) as the recipients of this year’s Margot and Richard P. Richter Prize in English and Music. This past spring, Noel completed an internship at a music management company. Her hope is to venture into a similar field after graduation. As a dual English and Music major, Noel is passionate about English and writing and strives to include it in all that she does.

Noel plays the bass, guitar, and violin, and continues to add new instruments to her repertoire. She has formed great friendships during her time playing with the UC String Ensemble. The quarantine has been a productive time for her academically as well as musically.

Regarding her Ursinus experience, Noel states, “When I met the music department staff, I was sure I found my place. Throughout the years I’ve been thrown a few curveballs and no matter what, they were there to support me and reassure me that I was on the right path.” Congratulations Noel! We look forward to your endeavors to come this year at Ursinus!

UPDATE: Noel Long was also the 2021 Margot and Richard P. Richter Prize recipient
