Job, Internship and Networking Fair Expands and Goes Virtual for 2021

The college has joined forces with nine other liberal arts colleges to present the annual Job, Internship and Networking (JIN) Fair in a virtual format on February 24, 2021.

The signature Ursinus event typically brings representatives from up to 90 different organizations to campus to offer internships and jobs to our students and alumni. This new collaboration will provide Ursinus attendees with access to an increased number and wider variety of employers, as well as a greater geographic distribution of opportunities. In addition, representatives from graduate schools will also be in attendance.

Students and alumni are encouraged to register early to secure individual or group appointments with their desired employers or graduate schools.

The event, which will be held February 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Handshake, will be held in partnership with the Maryland and Pennsylvania Liberal Arts Career Fair, which includes Gettysburg College, Goucher College, Hood College, McDaniel College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Muhlenberg College, Notre Dame of Maryland University, St. John’s College, and Washington College. Handshake provides tips on preparing for virtual career fairs.

“Over the course of the last seven months, the Office of Career and Post-Graduate Development has strategically planned how to best connect our students and Class of 2020 graduates with opportunities during the pandemic,” said Sharon Hansen, director of CPD. “As it became clear that we would be unable to hold the JIN Fair on campus in February, we reimaged the event in a virtual format with some exciting improvements.”

Students and alumni can expect to see the same employers who annually participate in the JIN Fair because they specifically seek Ursinus talent. As always, alumni are encouraged to represent their organizations.

The event is open to all Ursinus students and alumni, and is suited for those exploring careers as well as those specifically seeking internships and jobs.

Registration is open now, and details regarding the fair–including the list of employers–are available in Handshake.
