The results from Sustainable Move-Out are in!
We kept 18 cubic yards (2,000 pounds) of material out of the waste stream and in the hands of people who will reuse the items!
Sustainable Move-Out is a program that is managed by the Waste Diversion Fellows, with the help of the other Sustainability Fellows. Students are able to drop off unwanted items during finals week as they begin to move out of their on-campus housing. Items such as clothing, dorm decor/organization, microwaves, mini-fridges, and furniture are all accepted at the Sustainable Move-out Tent, which is usually located between BPS and Richter/North Halls. The items are then free to other Ursinus students to take and utilize.
