Newest Addition to the Biology Department
A warm greeting to fellow Ursinus students, staff and Alumni, my name is Sarah Bell, and I am the new Biology Department communications associate. I am currently a sophomore at Ursinus as a Biology and Dance double major and wanted to take the time to introduce myself. This semester I have joined Dr. Lyczak’s research lab on campus looking at mitosis of C. elegans embryos, focusing on the effects of PAM-1 mutants. Being a part of a research lab is what I look to do in the future with a career in genetics. To be involved in the Biology Department is something I have looked forward to coming into Ursinus as a prospective student. One of the reasons I chose Ursinus College was the many STEM opportunities and I hope to shed light on those in my position here. In true Ursinus fashion, I cannot be defined only as a STEM major. As a Dance major, I am apart of Escape Velocity, UCDC performances, and the Dance Team. So, if you happen to be at a basketball game look for me down on the court at halftime! I am excited to keep the community up to date with all that the Biology Department does and to share the achievements of our students and faculty!
