Beardwood Chemical Society Celebrates National Chemistry Week

The Beardwood Chemical Society student organization celebrated National Chemistry Week with chemistry demonstrations and liquid nitrogen ice cream.

According to their website, the American Chemical Society runs a public awareness campaign promoting the value of chemistry in everyday life. The week of October 17-23, 2021, marked the celebration of the National Chemistry Week (NCW). This year’s theme is “Fast or Slow…Chemistry Makes It Go!”.

The Beardwood Chemistry Society student organization also celebrated National Chemistry week with a few days of demonstrations by professors in the chemistry department. Friday afternoon wrapped up NCW with a sweet treat, the ever-popular liquid nitrogen ice cream.
