Digital Spark 2022 Produces Explosive Results

Story by Jake Griste ’23:

This summer, 12 Ursinus students formed The U-Imagine Center’s most exciting Digital Spark cohort to date. With weekly workshops and after hour social events, the group’s chemistry and support for one another flourished inside and outside the classroom.

The group featured Alex Koenig ’23, the program’s first ever entrepreneur “interning” for his own business, Alko Exterior, a home improvement company he has managed since 2017. The Center’s entrepreneur-in-residence, Maureen Cumpstone, approached Koenig with a unique opportunity to grow his business, learn new skills, and make some money doing it.

Emily Nash ’23 interned with Excursion Ciders in Kimberton, while coordinating weekly events to bring the cohort together after long days in the office and during long summer weekends. As a result, the connection between Digital Sparkers has never been stronger.

All 12 students had remarkable experiences becoming the digital marketing specialist in their companies. Check out the video to learn more about their stories.
