Having Heart: ‘Bears Give Back’ on Valentine’s Day

More than 20 Ursinus Bonner students joined alumni from the Southern New Jersey chapter of the National Council on Valentine’s Day, volunteering at the Heart of Camden, a New Jersey nonprofit organization.

The Heart of Camden works to restore the quality of life for those living in the waterfront section of Camden through programs of housing restoration, economic expansion, and human development.

“The event is part of the National Council’s outreach efforts,” says Lisa Bogdanski, Associate Director of Alumni Relations. “These are events planned by alumni and parents for alumni and parents, with the support of the Alumni Office. There are many goals, but one of them is to engage with alumni and parents in their home regions.” The alumni co-chairs for the chapter are Helene (Fennimore) Delaney 1983, who is spearheading this event, and Michael Chiarappa 1981. Alumni from Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be in attendance.
