Connor Donovan is student teacher award recipient!

Connor Donovan is the recipient of the Lawrence Lange Award, presented annually by the faculty of the education department to the graduating senior who “best exemplifies outstanding work in the field of education and is committed to nurturing the lifelong learning of others through a career in teaching.”

Connor has shown an outstanding commitment to education, doing excellent work in his courses and as a student teacher at Spring-Ford High School. He will soon be departing for Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he serve as a teacher with Teach for America.

The Lange award comes with a check, a certificate, and a prize book. The award was established in honor of Jan Lawrence Lange, Dean of Continuing Education and Associate Dean of the College from 1995-2003. The book chosen for Connor was Mathematical Mindsets, by Jo Boaler, a leading thinker in mathematics education. 

The faculty and staff of the education department wish Connor the very best of luck in the next chapter of his life!
