Olivia Negro wins annual Education award!

Olivia earned the award through consistently outstanding work in the teacher education program, culminating in her recent completion of student teaching in social studies at Perkiomen Valley High School, where she taught government and participated in a pilot course in black history.

Olivia’s excellence as an aspiring social studies teacher is grounded not only in her work ethic and her ability to build positive relationships with students, but also in the broad perspective she has gained from immersion in educational and political issues beyond the classroom. She is a Politics major who has been actively involved in many aspects of campus life, including the Bonner Leaders program, Model United Nations, and the Melrose Fellows. She was also selected as one of only twenty Key into Public Service Scholars nationwide by Phi Beta Kappa.

Olivia has a bright future in education, and the department is proud to recognize her accomplishments!
