Senior Spotlights

The U-Imagine Center sadly says farewell to seniors Aston Manning Smith (Math and Computer Science) and Michael Magargee (Applied Economics). We want to honor both Manning and Michael’s time and dedication to the U-Imagine Center.

Aston Manning Smith ’23 (Math and Computer Science) was the first U-Imagine student scholarship recipient and has been instrumental in helping the center to grow to where it is today. He led the team as project manager and his expertise will be missed. Manning described his experience at the U-Imagine center as a crucial middle ground between previous experience and professionalism. Providing an atmosphere that allowed his personal and professional skills to blossom, Manning shares, The U-Imagine Center allowed me to grow as an individual in analysis and the big picture. These are valuable skills that I will use for the rest of my life.

Congratulations Manning and best of luck as you enter the workforce as a Statistical Programmer at Merck in Upper Gwynedd, PA.

Michael Magargee ’23 (Applied Economics) started in the U-Imagine Center as a first-year student. He was a part of the UCORP team working on the revitalization of Main Street in Collegeville. Michael has grown both personally and professionally over his four years in the center. He has learned invaluable skills such as how to do search engine optimization, lead workshops, and become proficient in Microsoft Office.

Mike has obtained a position in financial advising with CFS Dental Division and has already begun his work there. Congratulations Michael and best of luck!
