Spanish Senior Receives Award, Plaque

Spanish Senior Eliana Katz Honored for Excellence in Latin American Studies

Senior Eliana Katz received the Janice Bond Award and Plaque given by the Pan American Association of Philadelphia. The award recognized Eliana for her excellence in Latin American Studies and her involvement in Hispanic communities. Eliana is a Spanish and Biology major whose Summer Fellows Project, “Defending Forest Livelihoods: Understanding Forest Change and its Social Implications in Nicaragua,” combined her interests in Latin America and the environment. She is also a volunteer medical interpreter intern at the Phoenixville Clinic and leads an Adult Spanish Book Club at the Royersford Library.
