Students Weigh In on #WomenOn20s Campaign

The first in a new series of student-produced videos called Bears’ Eye View asks, “Which woman would you put on the $20 bill?”

Replacing Andrew Jackson with a female American hero is a topic that’s been getting a lot of attention in the media recently thanks to a campaign launched by Women On 20s. Since March, more than 250,000 voters have cast ballots. One hundred candidates were narrowed to a list of 15 finalists. Now only four inspiring women remain:

  • Eleanor Roosevelt
  • Harriet Tubman
  • Rosa Parks
  • Wilma Mankiller

In a new video, Media and Communication Studies majors Colleen Fida ’15, Aaron Mitchell ’15 and Briana Walker poll students to find out which American woman they would choose to grace the $20 bill. Click here to view the video.
