Mary Schardt

Why did you decide to become a language major?

I became a language major because I wanted to be able to communicate with individuals in different countries. I hope to work in international business, so a major in a foreign language is ideal for my career goals.

What has been your most rewarding experience in your language major so far?

The most rewarding experience as a Spanish major has been studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I met amazing people, had wonderful experiences, and my knowledge of the Spanish language improved greatly.

What are your plans after Ursinus?

After graduating from Ursinus, I plan to go directly into the job market. I either want to teach English in a Spanish-speaking country for a few years, or work for a multinational company.
