I have been a member of the faculty and athletic training staff since 1998. Additionally I have been the athletic trainer for 13 of our 25 sport teams, providing injury care management, and rehabilitation. Since 2008, I have also been an assistant athletic director responsible for team evaluations while also providing oversight for Spring season conference and NCAA championships on site and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
I began my undergraduate studies at Harcum Junior College, graduating with an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. I continued my education at West Chester University, completing a Bachelor degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training. I completed a Master’s degree in Education at the Pennsylvania State University, and a Doctoral degree in Education at Saint Joseph’s University.
I have been a speaker for various organizations on the topics of injury prevention, physical conditioning for youth and adults, and being an intercollegiate athletic trainer. I enjoy my multiple roles of educator, athletic trainer, and assistant athletic director for the challenges and variety they offer. Additionally, I have conducted research on the subject of athletic training education, and I have been a faculty mentor for student research through the Summer Fellows program and Independent Research course.
