Stephen Meixner
Alumni CSCG Fellow
I am interested in examining the ethical questions raised by further advancements in genetics as well as the treatment of neurological diseases. The CSCG provides its fellows with the opportunity to engage a variety of professors and researchers about the topics that they are interested in as well as discuss their topics of interest. I wanted to gain a greater understanding of the topics I am interested in before leaving Ursinus and the CSCG has allowed me to do so. Due to my involvement in the CSCG I have gained a greater perspective not only on my particular interests but on how science and society interact that I hope to apply upon entering the medical field. After Ursinus I plan on attending medical school to pursue a M.D. After medical school I am aspiring to become a neurosurgeon.
