Assistant Coach-Track and Field, Throws (Part-Time)

The Ursinus College Athletic department has an opening for an Assistant Track and Field Coach. This is a part-time position (no benefits).

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Track & Field Coach in the development of the throwing events. Duties include but are not limited to: planning and conducting practices for athletes competing in the throwing events; evaluation and recruitment of qualified prospective student athletes in the jumping events; and ability to work week nights (4:00-7:00PM) and weekends. Preference will be given to those candidates that have coaching and/or competing experience in the throwing events.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport and excellent communication skills. Competingand/or coaching experience at the collegiate level and USATF Level One certification preferred.
