My Experience

What I enjoyed about my Ursinus Experience: My favorite part about Ursinus is how tight-knit of a community it is. Everyone knows each other, and is always willing to go out of their way to help someone else. My professors knew me by name, and I was able to not only form a relationship that not only maximized my opportunity for success, but one that will last a lifetime. Ursinus prides itself on its ability to put its students in great position to have real world experience. I am beyond confident that the Health and Exercise Physiology department has prepared me for success beyond the walls of Ursinus College.

Who I met that made a difference: During my three years at Ursinus, my advisor Dr. Del Engstrom has gone to great lengths to prepare me for my life as a Physical Educator. He has taught me so much both in and out of the classroom, and I would not be where I am without him. The relationship I have been able to build with him is one that I know will last long after I have graduated.

Advice: I urge any college student to reach outside of their comfort zone. It is here where you will not only find your passion, but you will put yourself in positions that will allow you to be the person you want to become.

Life After Ursinus

I plan on becoming a Health and Physical Education teacher, as well as a coach and personal trainer.
