In my role as one of the Assistant Directors of Admission, I work with student and families through the admissions process. I work specifically with all international students as well as domestic students from North Carolina, Southeast Pennsylvania, North and Central New Jersey, New York (excluding the Boroughs and Long Island), and Fairfield County Connecticut.
Prior to my arrival at Ursinus in August of 2016, I worked in the Admissions office for my alma mater for three years. I’m originally from Buffalo, NY and wanted a different experience for college. I knew I wanted the small, private, liberal arts setting for my undergraduate experience without the snow and cold of my hometown. During my time at Roanoke College as a student, I was actively involved in all aspects of student life. I was a resident advisor, tour guide, student assistant and intern in the admissions office, president of campus activities board, and I held an executive position in my sorority and participated in intramural sports.
With my involvement outside the classroom, starting a career in higher education once I graduated was a natural fit. Having a liberal arts degree has provided me with a strong transferable skill set that has proven to help me excel in the real world. I am thrilled to have found a wonderful environment at Ursinus that truly provides a diverse set of opportunities for students to learn and engage both in and out of the classroom while allowing an individualized approach to their education. I am a firm believer in all that a liberal arts education can offer students! My favorite part of this job is getting to help a student discover what they are looking for in a college experience and helping them find the “perfect fit”.
