All Majors & Minors

Valerie Osborne

I chose English because I’ve always loved to read and write. I also like English because it allows you to be more creative when problem solving, I like questions that can have more than one answer. I’ve enjoyed all my English classes at Ursinus, but I really liked taking Persona Poems and Adv. Poetry with Dr. Keita. Dr. Keita is a wonderful professor and her classes really helped me to grow as a writer.

I am currently the News Editor for the Ursinus student newspaper, The Grizzly. I am also involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and WVOU, the Ursinus radio station. I have had work published in The Lantern and I have helped judge submissions. I am planning on studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland the Spring 2017 semester. I am hoping that I will be able to continue writing after I graduate and I’m thinking about going into journalism.
