As a minor in Africana Studies, I have developed the tools to understand and interpret the past and present day importance of the African Diaspora. I have found that Africana Studies is deeply rooted in the fact that all kinds of prejudice and oppression are intertwined and the theoretical expressions of the various cultures of Africa and the African Diaspora are extremely intriguing, which have provided me with extensive knowledge regarding the world and the human experience.
