Abbie will soon be celebrating her 10th year as a member of the Advancement team at Ursinus. As a member of the Alumni Relations team from 2010-2014, Abbie was responsible for off-campus programming and volunteer management through the National Council, as well as recruitment efforts in each region. Additionally, she oversaw and co-managed the Young Alumni Council, overseeing both social and outreach subcommittees, and served as a staff liaison for various reunion committees.
As of July 1, 2014, she joined the Major Gifts team at Ursinus and is thrilled to continue her work with alumni, parents and friends as she helps them align their own philanthropic goals with institutional needs. Additionally, she assists with reunion fundraising, planning and committee oversight. She also serves as the Advancement liaison to Jewish Life fundraising initiatives on campus which benefit Hillel and Jewish Studies.
She is an active member of the History & Archives subcommittee of the Ursinus 150 Committee and spent four years serving as co-Historian for Ursinus College’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
Abbie is a proud Ursinus alumna, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 2010 with Interdisciplinary Distinguished Honors in Media & Communication Studies and Theatre.
As a student, she was a member of the Ursinus College Ambassadors, a leadership organization on campus dedicated to community and campus service. As a Theatre major, she acted in a number of productions and directed for the student-run Breakaway Student Productions. Abbie also served as a Writing Fellow and Tutor for the Center for Writing, President of the MCS Honors Society, an Admission Tour Guide and played intramural basketball and soccer. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy during the fall semester of her junior year.
In addition to acting, Abbie’s interests include dancing, travel and creative writing. She also never turns down the chance to play a pick-up basketball game.
