What I Love about Writing

I love how writing clears your mind and forces you to slow down and find the right words for your ideas. Things can get pretty hectic, and writing has always been a way for me to block out the noise for a little bit, which I really value.

Research

This year I’m working on an independent honors project with Professor Meredith Goldsmith about how the novels of Carson McCullers add to contemporary discussions of ability, race, and gender.

How I Stay Involved

I’m the editor in chief of The Grizzly, Ursinus’ student newspaper. I’ve also contributed to The Lantern the past four years. Additionally, I am one of two program coordinators for the Ursinus Writing and Arts House.

Life After Ursinus

After a few years off from school, I’m hoping to pursue an MFA in creative writing.
