Spanish and Dance

On campus, Danielle is also the President of the Brownback-Anders Pre-Health Society (BAPS), an organization that brings healthcare providers onto campus to share their experiences with upcoming pre-health students. Danielle is also involved in Escape Velocity, the student run dance company; she loves working on that executive board as well as choreographing for the company! She is also the Founder and Chairman of UC MiniTHON, a multi-hour dance marathon that raises money to help cure cancer through Four Diamonds, and a proud UC Ambassador. She also works in the Lyczak lab, studying the molecular genetic complications of centrosome-cortex contact in a single celled C.elegans. Finally, Danielle is the Chairman of the Student Activities and Services Student-Faculty Committee (SASC) and enjoys being able to represent the student body is such a capacity. You can normally find her running around campus from rehearsals to meetings, eating is wismer with friends, or studying in her room for her next exam!.

Why did you Join

I’ve always loved performing. I was in a show choir through my theatre company back home and found that I truly missed the experience here at Ursinus - so I decided to try bring that same experience on to campus! There’s nothing like performing for a live audience, and singing and dancing just makes me so happy. I also love that we will eventually be able to bring our music to geriatric centers because sharing our talents with those who aren’t able to readily access things like music and art is a passion of mine. We take being able to sing and dance for granted so often, that it is a true joy to be able to bring our talents to those less fortunate. It only takes a little bit of thought and effort to really brighten someone else’s day.
