Anita Baker

As the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations, Anita oversees strategic relationships with key foundations and corporations while developing new outreach initiatives.

Background

Anita comes to Ursinus College from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she directed Reach Out and Read, a literacy intervention program serving children six months to five years. Previously, she was Manager of Partnerships and Development at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation working with corporate partners customizing cause marketing campaigns garnering new outreach and donation. She brings expertise in the marketing and advertising industry as a former owner/operator of a boutique agency.

Anita is a first generation American and a first generation college graduate and is honored to continue the education tradition started by her mom, an elementary school teacher in a one room schoolhouse in rural Nebraska.

Anita lives in Woolwich, New Jersey, with her husband, Karl, and service dog fur babies, Karlee and Marlee. She enjoys traveling, baking, designing and creating precious memories with her children and grandchildren.
