Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
The Vice-President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students is responsible for the student experience on campus and works to improve student success and retention through oversight of the Institute for Student Success, residence life, orientation, student government, campus safety and emergency preparedness, student engagement, dining services, Title IX, community standards and values, crisis response, and scholarship experiences.
Background
Dean Bryant returned to her native Pennsylvania in August 2010 when she joined the Ursinus community. She has worked in Student Affairs at the University of Alabama, LeMoyne College and most recently, Southern Methodist University where she served as the Director of New Student Orientation and Student Support. At Ursinus she previously served as the Director of First-Year Programs, Director of the Center for Academic Support, and Assistant Dean of Students and Co-Director of the Institute for Student Success.
Dean Bryant cheers on the Bears in their research, on the playing field, on the stage, and beyond. She also LOVES Crimson Tide football, spending time with her family and friends, and running with her dog, Bear. She, along with her husband and son, enjoy living close to campus and taking advantage of all Ursinus has to offer.
Dean Bryant says “Working at Ursinus is like being part of a family. It is exciting to see us growing together and constantly changing.”
