Assistant Director of Admission, Transfer Recruitment

Prior to my arrival at Ursinus College, I was an admission counselor for three years at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. I am originally from Philadelphia, PA and moved to New York to follow my dreams and start my career! As a student at the University of Scranton, I was the president of two honor societies – Kappa Delta Pi and Chi Delta Rho – participated in the International Service Program to Ecuador, and in the summer of 2010, before I started my master’s in school counseling, I studied abroad in Kenya. While completing my graduate degree, I worked with students with special needs providing therapeutic support and one-to-one instruction. With all of my involvement, experience, and passion for working with students, starting a career in higher education felt natural. During my time at LIU Brooklyn, I met with potential students and their families, reviewing domestic and international applications for the schools of Pharmacy, Business, and Education, and I coordinated the admissions process for our Summer Honors Institute. In addition, I collaborated with many other offices on campus in planning different events to ensure our incoming students would have a seamless transition into college. The common theme my previous institutions share with Ursinus College is the passion for a liberal arts education, and I am proud to share that with the students. I truly believe the liberal arts allow students to discover their passions and succeed not only in college, but also far into their careers as well-rounded and knowledgeable professionals.
