What I Love About Writing
To me, writing is the purest and most direct form of self-expression. A single sentence, if crafted well, can portray something just as accurately (or beautifully) as the most painstakingly detailed portrait.
I was born in Cherry Hill, NJ; and I moved to Moorestown when I was about five. I chose to attend Ursinus because I was looking at smaller, local schools, and I was particularly struck by the passion and dedication of the English community here at UC.
How I Stay Involved
I spent 2017 working for the Ursinus Phonathon, raising money for the Annual Fund (which is put towards financial aid and scholarships, facilities, campus maintenance, and all manner of beneficial things). I am presently the Co-Banana (co-leader) of Bearly Funny Improv (the official improv troupe of Ursinus College). I am also an active member of the campus Literary Society.
Life After Ursinus
I am hoping to break into the fields of either freelancing or editing. I believe my experience as a Writing Fellow will help me further understand how I can best utilize my love of writing in my future career.
