What I Love About Writing
Writing gives me the ability to process the information I have read about and transform my thoughts from a jumbled mess to a clear picture. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, and it allows me to share my views and ideas with others.
Ursinus is my second home. I’ve made connections with my professors that I hope to keep for many years. I love that I get to spend time with my fellow singers and dancers at Rhapsody Show Choir rehearsals, and then also go out into the community with my fellow Scholars in Service to volunteer in after-school programs in the local town of Norristown. Studying for classes and participating in clubs keeps me pretty busy, but I also enjoy taking the time to sit outside my house on Main Street and relax on a picnic blanket when the weather cooperates.
Life After Ursinus
I hope to take my experiences at Ursinus into the professional world where I can impact legislation and policy in the education sector in order to help students of all ages of disadvantaged backgrounds succeed inside and outside of the classroom. Farther down the road, I plan to become a teacher.
An Unusual Fact about Me
During the summer, I empower kids who come to Calleva Outdoor Adventure camp and instruct them in white-water kayaking and canoeing. I thrive in the outdoors, and I love inspiring others to embrace the power of nature and harness it to have incredible experiences out on the Potomac River in Maryland.
