Well, I like to talk. A lot. I also like drumming! Put together, that makes me a pretty loud person. Ironically, I only do work on the silent floor of the library. My favorite area to research is China and my favorite time period is the second half of the 20th Century. I always have tic tacs on me, work in the library, and listen to the Rattlin’ Bog too often.
Most Memorable Moment in Class
My most memorable moment in class was either when Dr. Daggar asked me what the author we were reading meant by irony and I had no idea OR when Tom came into class with the marshmallow DJ head thing.
I have conducted independent research on China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Latin America and was an intern at the Mercer Museum.
Being a part of the History Department at Ursinus is frankly awesome. Every bit of work you do is balanced by fun, engaging professors and equally invested students. You are challenged academically, supported entirely, and always learning.
