Background

Monique joined Ursinus in January 2018, in the newly created internal communications position of Manager of Campus Engagement. In that role, she worked with the website team to develop the Faculty/Staff Landing page at ursinus.edu. Using research methods, focus groups, and surveys, the page went from concept to launch in August 2018. Monique played an integral role in the development, design, and management of the college emergency and broadcast communication system launched in 2019. She worked closely with the Information Technology team to transition the college closed circuit tv programming to a new web-based monitor system. After assisting with the conversion and roll-out in 2019, Monique oversaw the maintenance, communication, and execution of the announcement module across campus.

Monique served as a staff writer for the college communications office and was the lead communications representative for Human Resources, Inclusion, and Interfaith programming. While at Ursinus, Monique has worked on many major college events including: Ursinus 150: the sesquicentennial celebration, 150 Fest, The Inauguration of President Robyn Hannigan, and the annual “Ursinus Night at the Reading Phillies”.

Monique served on the committees and planning teams for Interfaith Youth Council (IFYC), The Beloved Community, the DICE Advisory Committee, COVID Vaccine Planning Team,  Martin Luther King Jr. Week, Ursinus Pride, Commencement, and Baccalaureate.

Monique remains involved in and was a founding member of the Diversity Action Resource Team (DART), established in 2019. In 2020, Monique was tasked with handling the COVID-19 communications email box, responding to parent, student, faculty, staff, and public inquiries regarding the college’s response to the pandemic and daily operations.

In August 2021, Monique moved into a new role as College and Community Engagement Specialist reporting to the Vice President for College and Community Engagement. In February 2022, College and Community Engagement became the division of Inclusion and Community Engagement. She was promoted to Director of Community Engagement for Internal Programs in May, 2022.

Monique is the college moderator for the Ursinus Rotaract Club.

She is proud to be a member of the Woman’s Club of Royersford, where she served two terms as Vice President. Monique has served on the Royersford Borough Human Relations Board since its creation in 2017.
