HDR East Region Healthcare Director/Vice President
Chris Bormann leads HDR’s health program in architecture in the eastern United States and is among the firm’s senior thought leaders in healthcare architecture. As the Director of Health, Chris is responsible for coordinating HDR’s vast network of specialized healthcare services and bringing expertise to healthcare organizations throughout the region. His formal training in architecture and healthcare facility design comes from Princeton University, service in the Army as a health facility-planning officer, which included an extensive hospital administrative residency and master’s degree in Healthcare Architecture from Clemson University. Chris and his wife, Holly, are parents of two current students, Kate and Caroline.
