Mariana is a member of the Major and Planned Giving team dedicated to building relationships with alumni, parents and friends of the college and advancing the Ursinus mission by aligning the philanthropic interests of donors with institutional priorities.
Mariana comes to Ursinus with 15 years of frontline fundraising experience including corporate, annual giving and major/planned gifts. She was most recently with Lehigh University where she served as a Major Gifts Officer responsible for the southeast region of the U.S. Prior to Lehigh, Mariana served as Director of Annual Giving for University Liggett School, an independent K-12 school in Grosse Pointe, MI.
After graduating from Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Mariana worked in the field of environmental consulting as a business development professional. She later transitioned into the non-profit side of the environmental arena thus commencing her career in advancement.
Mariana, her husband Mark, and their two sons live in Villanova, Pa. She enjoys spending time with family and friends along with reading, physical fitness, boating, concerts, foreign films and exploring new dining options. A native of Puerto Rico, she is fluent in Spanish.
