After Ursinus
Roger Lee
The Dancing Entrepreneur
Ursinus gave me the education, experience, and confidence need to turn my passion into my profession. At Ursinus, I double majored in Dance and Media & Communication Studies, led the student-run dance company for three years, revitalized and led the student-run TV news program, and learned a whole lot about life, love, entrepreneurship, and leadership in the process! I came to Ursinus as a freshman (13 years ago) with big creative dreams and left the campus as an alumnus with a burning passion to add my own unique voice to Philadelphia’s thriving creative community. Since then, I earned my Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University, started my own professional dance company (7 years ago), performed for a former United States Vice President, Grammy Award-winning recording artists, and televised holiday specials, appeared in over 50 media features, gave a TEDx Talk, wrote two e-books, and accepted teaching positions at three universities.
In addition to conducting career coaching sessions for visual and performing artists and producing dance company concerts for the community as the Program Director and Owner of Roger Lee Arts, LLC (for the last 7 years), I also serve as a Program Manager, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and Adjunct Professor at Drexel University’s Close School of Entrepreneurship (for the last 3 years). My Ursinus experience gave me the tools I needed to make some of my biggest dreams come (before my 30th birthday)!
