About

My Health and Exercise Physiology (HEP) major gave me a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and exercise science in preparation for physical therapy school. As an inpatient acute therapist, I use the social and communication skills I learned as a member of the swim team on a daily basis as I work closely with patients, nurses, physicians, and other therapists. The liberal arts system allowed me to complete my major and prerequisites for grad school while still allowing me to pursue another passion, art, as a minor. This, too, comes into play on a daily basis as a physical therapist in the hospital, where creativity is key in conducting meaningful sessions with limited space and resources.
