Eric Mawuena Takyi

Eric Takyi earned his BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana. He later obtained an MPhil in Mathematics also from the University of Ghana where he worked as an assistant lecturer. He further obtained an MS in Mathematics from Clarkson University -Potsdam. Eric earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Iowa State University. He joined the faculty at Ursinus College in 2021 as an Assistant Professor.

Eric’s research interests are in Mathematical modeling which makes use of Differential Equations. My recent work has been on the control of invasive species using biocontrol strategies.

I like to listen to good music and play the bass guitar at my leisure time.
