Project Description

This project analyzes the distribution of street trees in Baltimore with highly edible components and their alignment with food insecure areas of the city. The analysis considers species composition, proximity to food insecure areas, and the seasonality of materials available for harvest. The project contributes to our understandings of the ways this type of urban greenspace and its tree species can address urban food insecurity.
