Assistant Director of Disability and Access
As Assistant Director of Disability and Access, Joanna’s goals are to help students feel empowered and valued, provide a space of comfort and bravery on campus, and advocate for students with disabilities through educational programming.
Further, Joanna is honored to advocate for underrepresented students, faculty, and staff at the College and beyond as part of the Division for Inclusion and Community Engagement.
Joanna’s office is located on the Lower Level of Myrin Library in the shared space with Office of Disability and Access and UCARE. She can be reached by email at jtimmerman@ursinus.edu.
Joanna lives in Phoenixville with her dog, Maxie. The two can be seen strolling Bridge Street after work or relaxing outside on campus. Joanna also enjoys napping, sewing, yoga, ice cream, and practicing/advocating for self-care.
Background
Following graduate school, Joanna worked in institutional research at Eastern University before returning to Ursinus in student engagement. She began her role in Disability and Access in the summer of 2022.
