Jennifer Cargo has 26 years of experience in the accounting industry, 16 of which have been in the biotech industry. Jennifer’s accounting career started with local companies while attending college classes, where she was responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions. Once she graduated in 2002, Jennifer’s career went into private accounting for a foreign company with a local office in Malvern. From there Jennifer entered the public account area where she spent 4 years working on tax return preparation and auditing activities. After that time, Jennifer started her time in the biotech industry. Her first opportunity came with Ception Therapeutics as a Senior Accountant. Following Ception, she owned and operated her own accounting business, DanJenn, Inc. where she continued to work for various start-up biotech companies (Ceptaris Therapeutics, Inc., Velicept Therapeutics, Inc. and Onspira Therapeutics, Inc.) on a consulting basis. Jennifer worked alongside the company’s CFO by maintaining accounting records, assisting auditors, and reviewing prepared tax returns. Through DanJenn, she has worked with various types of businesses offering account management and tax return preparation. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Ursinus College. In December 2021, Jennifer earned her CMA designation.
