Biography

Damien D. Brewster, Esq. is a partner in the law firm Keenan, Ciccito & Associates, LLP, located at the corner of 4th Ave and Main Street in Collegeville. The firm’s senior partner, Thomas Keenan, Esq., founded the law firm in 1982 to serve the legal needs of the community, and the firm continues today as a general practice law firm primarily serving the legal needs of local residents and small businesses.

Damien is an experienced trial attorney who represents clients in the District Courts and Courts of Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Chester County, Delaware County, Philadelphia County, Berks County, Bucks County, and Lehigh County, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and before various local and state boards and administrative agencies. His law practice includes civil and administrative litigation (including consumer protection, employment, corporate, real estate, construction, civil rights and transportation matters), municipal law (representation of landowners, developers and local government entities in zoning, subdivision, land development and related matters), criminal defense (felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses, return of property and criminal record expungements), juvenile law (delinquency, dependency and juvenile record expungement), Orphans Court matters (termination of parental rights, adoption, guardianship), estate planning, real estate transactions (leases and sales), and preparation of other contracts/agreements.

In addition to his work for the law firm’s clients, Damien also serves as an Arbitrator for the Montgomery County Board of Arbitrators, determining liability and damages for civil cases submitted to arbitration. Damien is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Montgomery Bar Association, and the Criminal Defense and Creditors and Debtors Rights Committees of the Montgomery Bar Association. He is an appointed member of the Human Relations Commission for the Borough of Collegeville. He is also a member/part-owner of several local businesses, including Freeland Abstract, Home Sale Services, and 364 Main LLP.

Damien worked for the Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender as Chief of the Juvenile Advocacy Unit from 2012 to 2014, and as an Assistant Public Defender in the Trial Unit from 2005 to 2012. Prior to attending law school, Damien served as a Teach For America Corps member from 1999 to 2001, teaching a middle school special education class in an under resourced community in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Damien received his J.D. degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La., a B.A. in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, La., and graduated from Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia, Pa. He lives in the Borough of Collegeville with his wife and two children, and in that capacity serves as a part-time taxi driver, chef, handyman and youth soccer, baseball and climbing superfan. In his free time, he enjoys travel, hiking, boating, live music, gardening, and carpentry.
